Koliko puta plaćate TV preplatu?
Uz račun za struju obavezno stiže i TV pretplata za RTS1. Ne verujem da to iko plaća, čak mislim da je udruživanje takvih računa ne samo neetičko već i protivzakonito. Ako se neko razume u ekonomsko pravo,volela bih da se izjasni oko toga. Svejedno, država pokušava da vam uzme pare za TV pretplatu.
Pa onda ide kablovska. Plaćate li kablovsku?
Mada je provajder za kablovsku morao da otkupi pravo da emituje i RTS1, zar ne? Znači to je većduplikat.
Pa onda internet. Provajder za internet već je otkupio pravo da emituje mnoge TV kanale online. E to je triplikat!
Ja u svom domu nemam TV. Ne plaćam kablovsku, nemam uopšte ugovor. Ne plaćam RTS1 preko računa, a i zašto bih?
Plaćam internet.
Elem, sada je mamino zlato dobilo novi telefon. I redovno se konektuje na NAŠU MREŽU. Ovog puta zaista vodi računa - kači se na nas.
I znate koliki mi je stigao račun za telefon? 15 000 rsd. Gledala sam listing. Sve zbog interneta. Našeg interneta koji već plaćamo regularno.
Volim ovu zemlju. Volim planine, brda, doline, reke. Drveće, životinje i ljude.
Ali ovo je zaista zemlja Apsurdija.
Da li da kažem da sam podstanar? I da na kiriju koju mesečno plaćam, niko ne uzima porez? Ali šta ćete, nekome se posrećilo da u vreme inflacije može da otkupi socijalni stan za 150 DM, i za 1-2 DM! A sada taj stan prodaje za 50-60 000 eura. Šta tu reći? Što tada nisam rođena?
Ne znam. Ali pošto mi je odbijen ovaj račun za telefon, ja ovog meseca neću imati ni za struju, ni za grejanje, ni za fiksni telefon (koji postoji opet radi interneta).Platiću internet, pretpostavljam.
Ovo je država koja uopšte ničim ne štiti običnog građanina. Koja ne štiti decu. U kojoj može da se krade naveliko. U kojoj banke imaju kamate od 25-30%. Ovo je država staraca, u kojoj više nema dece, jer nema para za decu, nema igrališta, nema posvećenih prosvetnih radnika, nema uopšte nikakve perspektive ni za koga.
U kojoj su došli da seku struju čoveku koji je dugovao 4,7 rsd.
U kojoj pijani žandarm puca i ranjava vozača zato što je presporo vozio.
Elektrodistribucija se javno izvinila. Koliko znam, pijani žandarm nije.
Priraštaj je -5%%, a biće i niži. Jer ko i zbog čega da rađa decu? Osim sasvim slučajno.
Volim ovu zemlju.
Ali u 2014. želim sebi da se iselim. Da imam bolji standard. Nekako mi se čini da će me manje boleti ako me kradu tuđinci, a ne sunarodnici. A što meni PIO nije isplatio 20000 koje sam zaradila? April mi nije isplaćen, i tako na dalje. A odradila sam sve to. I sad bi mi baš dobrodošlo.
Draga moja, želim ti da se iseliš u bolji standard.
Da više ne brojiš koliko sitniša ti je ostalo i gde. Po džepovima, po cipelama.
Da normalno živiš, ne u strahu da sutra nećeš imati za hleb i jogurt, za kiriju, da ćeš morati da se iseliš ponovo...A i seldba košta. Za ovih 7 godina podstanarskog staža bacila sam najmanje 10 000 evra.
Dojadilo mi je više da posle tolikih škola životarim...da je luksuz to što čuvam mačku (to mi je prebacio bivši muž!Koliko košta hrana za mačku? A ja njemu- koliko daješ na cigarete mesečeno?).
Ne pušim, ne pijem, ne izlazim, ne kockam se....uspela sam da ulovim jednodnevno planinarenje prošlog leta i to je sve. Imam mačku. Imam ćerku tinejdžera. Pardon, imamo i barsku kornjaču. I ne umem više ovako da živim. Ne želim više ovako da živim.
Želim normalan, opušten život. Da se ne trzam oko dnevnih potreba i potrepština.
Želim normalan život.

"Jugoistok" se izvinio zbog naloga za isključenje struje

Iz "Jugoistoka" su se izvinili Nišliji Stevanu Stanojeviću, kod kog su prekjuče ujutru došli radnici da bi mu "isekli" struju zbog duga od 47 para, i objasnili da je reč o sistemskoj grešci.

Privlačiš ono što jesi, ne ono što želiš

U poslednje vreme se sve više piše i priča o zakonu privlačnosti. I o tome kako u svoj život možemo privući sve što poželimo, jer mi smo kreatori, oni koji stvaraju svojom voljom. Ipak, mislim da često zaboravljamo na činjenicu da  je volja samo jedan aspekt našeg bića, koje je velikim delom nepoznanica i za nas same, prosto zbog činjenice da ga nismo svesni u potpunosti.
E sad, zakon privlačnosti je jedan od nepromenjivih zakona univerzuma i naravno funkcioniše. I mi jesmo kreatori i naša se stvarnost menja svakoga časa pod uticajem promena u nama samima. Jedino što mi tih zbivanja unutar sebe samih, ne moramo biti svesni. Ali univerzum ne pravi razliku između naših svesnih i nesvesnih misli i uverenja. I naravno, postupa u skladu sa njima. Nesvesna uverenja i potisnute emocije su razlog zašto i pored silnih afirmacija i namere u svoj život ne privlačimo partnera kakvog bismo želeli ili bolji posao, više novca…,,Šta zračiš, to privlačiš,, je tačna izjava, ali mi zračimo i iz sopstvenog nesvesnog, a ne samo iz  svesnog uma. Dakle, ako smo puni gorčine i nezadovoljstva zbog nezaposlenosti,  ekonomske krize, pogrešnog sistema vrednosti i ko zna čega sve još…kako da u svoj život privučemo nežnog, brižnog i stabilnog partnera? Nema te pozitivne namere koja će nadjačati ovoliku negativnost!
Možemo li nešto da uradimo ili smo sasvim nemoćni? Mislim da je najvažnije da prihvatimo činjenicu da stvaramo ne samo svesno, već i nesvesno. A onda da se pozabavimo sobom. Da unesemo svetlost svesnosti u tamu svog nesvesnog i polako počnemo da se oslobađamo emotivnih blokada i pogrešnih uverenja. Ne moramo ih čak sve ni osvestiti, nekada je dovoljno da znamo da u nama postoje i negativna uverenja koja takođe utiču na naše izbore i naš život. A prihvatanje je prvi korak ka promeni.

The 5 Fundamental Rules Of Working From Home

Suppose you finally took the plunge: resigned your corporate job, decided to follow the passion of your life and (by lack of a new office space, of course), you started to work from home. Welcome to the club! Been there for a few years now and, guess what, it turned out that working from home is not as simple as I thought it would be.
It certainly has a tons of advantages, but those advantages won’t come in a sugary, care free, or all pinky and happy-go-lucky package. On the contrary. When you work from home, maintaining a constant productivity flow may be a real challenge. And there are many reasons for that.
For instance, you may still unconsciously assimilate your home with your relaxation space, hence a little nap on the couch, in the middle of the day, with still a ton of unfinished tasks, may seem like a viable option. Well, not! Or, because you’re working from home now, you think you can endlessly postpone some of your projects for ever, since nobody is on your back anymore. You’re your own boss and decided to be a gentle one. Fatal mistake. Or…
OK, let’s stop with the reasons right here and move on to the practical part. So, what can you do to squeeze each and every inch of usefulness and productivity from your new working space and schedule (namely, your home)? What follows is a short list of what I found to be fundamentally necessary when you walk on this path.

1. Set Up A Specific Workplace

And stay there. That specific workspace may be a specific room (your home office), or a part of a room. Whatever it is, it must be clearly designed as a work area, with as little interference from your home space as possible. The coexistence of your home and work space is just a happy accident. But just because of that, those two spaces don’t necessarily have to blend together.
If you move your work space constantly around various parts of your house, instead of a single “anchor space”, something awkward will happen. Your home won’t feel like home anymore. That’s one of the most popular reasons for quitting working form home: “My home didn’t feel like home anymore”. Of course it didn’t if you mixed all its parts with your work space.

2. Split Work Into Edible Chunks

Don’t aim too high. Don’t expect to do big chunks of work in a single step. That was one of the most surprising situations I encountered when I first started to work from home. Instead of a steady, constant flow of sustained activity, all I could do were short, compact sessions on various projects. It took a while to understand why.
When you work in a populated workspace, you behave differently. There is a subtle field of energy created by humans when they’re in their own proximity, and that field alone can be enough of an incentive to do much more than you normally do. Well, when you’re at home, alone, this ain’t gonna happen. That’s why you should use whatever productivity technique you’re comfortable with to split your work in small, edible chunks: GTD, pomodoro, or Assess-Decide-Do.

3. Work Outside Home

In coffee shops or other places, like shared offices. It may sound a little bit counterintuitive, to work outside your home when you’re working from home. But only in the beginning. You’ll soon realize that working from home doesn’t mean you have to stay there all the time. It basically means your home is also your office and you’re free to go outside if you want to.
I know this may not apply to all of the “work from home” situations, but for those related to information processing, when all you need is a laptop an internet connection, that usually works beautifully. It adds a very necessary element of diversity and freshness. It can also be the source of some very interesting social interactions, especially when you have to solve all sort of digital nomad situations.

4. Go Out!

Working from home may be socially alienating. After almost 3 years of doing it, I finally accepted this as a fact. So, apart from balancing your home time with consistent sessions of working outside of your home, you should definitely go out more often. Our normal work routine, the one that is performed in an office, that is, makes for an important slice of our social interaction needs. Once you’re working from home, that slice won’t be there anymore. But your need for social contacts will remain constant.
So, my solution to this was to grow my social interaction significantly over what I was having when I was working in my own office. Going out to movies, running in the park, meeting for drinks or just chat, whatever it takes to get me out of my home/working space. On a one to ten scale, my social life before was around 3 and now is at a steady 7.

5. Thoroughly Log Each And Every Day

It goes hand in hand with keeping a personal journal, but this time it’s about work, not personal feelings and experiences. Keep a detailed log of each project and be always ready to pick up from where you left one day or one week ago in just a matter of minutes. It’s not only a productivity enhancer, although it will help you be more productive, but it’s more on the accountability area.
When you work from home you’re your own boss. And, for any of you who are (or have been) bosses, this is not an easy position. You gotta keep track of all the information about your team and of every advancement in your projects. That’s what a boss is supposed to do, after all. When you work from home you have to perform this bossy role too, otherwise you will be lost in your own unfinished ideas and endless project stubs faster than you think.

Digital Nomad: 10 Things He Does Differently

For the past 4 years, I’ve been living like a digital nomad: working from coffee shops, on my laptop, no fixed hours, no boss. Before that, I was an online entrepreneur, building‒and successfully selling‒vertical portals, in niches like car industry or cooking.
Living “off the grid”‒without fixed hours, without an office and any imposed schedule to respect‒has its perks, no doubt about it. But it also has its fair share of responsibilities. All in all, I confess it’s a beautiful journey. Unfortunately, very few people know what it takes to be a digital nomad. So, let’s see a few things a digital nomad does differently from the rest of the world.

1. A Digital Nomad Makes Friends Before And After Going To The Toilet

Yep, I saw that smile on your face. It’s ok. Let me tell you how it works: you’re in a coffee shop, had 2-3 cup of tea so far, and you really need to go to the toilet. What do you do with your laptop? Well, you ask someone nicely to take care of it while you’re out there, fighting your own fights. In 4 years, I never had a single “no” for an answer. Even more, I made friends with almost 50% of the people I talked to this way. It may sound like a strange situation, but, believe it or not, people love to care about other people. True story.

2. He Travels Lighter

And I mean, WAY lighter. Most of the time, when I travel in a different country, I have only 2 bags: a backpack for the laptop, and a very small bag‒which some airlines may even consider a carry on‒and that’s that. I learned how to take advantage of whatever I find at the place of destination. If I need clothes, I just buy the minimum from a local shop. It goes the same with shoes, or anything else you may imagine you need to properly function in a given society. To be honest, the most precious belongings are my laptop and my phone, because that’s how I make a living.

3. A Digital Nomad Immediately Sees All The Power Outlets In A Given Room

It’s a skill. After you work in random places for more than a year, and your work involves powering up a laptop, you kind of learn how to immediately identify all the power outlets in a given room. It may not win you points if you’re at a party, but it can surely save your ass if you’re in between flights, in an airport, and you have to turn in some work in the next two hours.

4. He’s More Disciplined Than The Average Employee

If you work in a normal structure, you have a boss. Or you report to someone. Or you have to do something in a certain way; otherwise somebody will fire you. Well, if you work for yourself, you don’t have that. You’re your own boss. You have to be really tough on yourself to actually get up from bed, go out, get that coffee and start working. Being a digital nomad is not a walk in the park, although it may seem like it from afar. But the good news is that discipline is good for you, in the long term, regardless of how you choose to work‒as a digital nomad or otherwise.

5. He Smiles More Than You

Let me tell you a secret: the best thing to do when you’re in a foreign country and you are unfamiliar with the native spoken language is to just smile. But do it openly, honestly and cross your fingers. It will amaze you how people around you are doing their best to support you. You’re also free to do the opposite, like frowning, and see what happens. I did both and, believe me, smiling works better all the time.

6. A Digital Nomad Has More Friends Than You

When you work from coffee shops for a few months in a row, you end up making friends with the regulars of that place. Period. And if you do this with a few coffee shops for three to four years, you end up with a tremendous number of people you know and are close to. So, if you’re a digital nomad, your friends circle is likely to be an order of magnitude higher than the average Joe, which is kinda neat.

7. His Income Is More Or Less Passive

As a digital nomad, you have to maintain a decent work / life balance. Because, in a way, your life is your work. Maintaining a fluid lifestyle, ready for everything, at any given time, means you have to have some safety cushion. So, you may do work for clients, but, in order to make sure you’re not going to be stuck for months in a foreign country because you have no money for the plane ticket, you first grow a layer of passive income. And that’s also kinda neat.

8. He Is A Part Of The “Immediocracy”

“Immediocracy” is a term I coined myself (I guess) and it basically means: “the power of the immediate, of the now.” From taking advantages of instant opportunities, to getting to know first about important events, this new breed of influencers have the ability to always be connected, through social media, mostly, to the most intimate mechanisms of our modern society. If you have to rent parts of your time during the day‒like being an employee‒you can’t really understand this new type of freedom.

9. He’s Healthier Than You

“Nomad” means “always moving.” So, just by the mere fact that these guys are always moving, something better happens to them at the physical level. Diversity is a very good thing. Being it the diversity of the places you live in, or the diversity you get by choosing each day a different work place, you get to experience a lot of it, as a digital nomad. You walk more. You see more. You experience more. So, you build up a better immune system.

10. He Manages His Fears Better Than You

Being a digital nomad is not easier, nor simpler than living a regular corporate life. The mere act of “jumping in” takes a lot of courage, not to mention the amount of self control and discipline needed to actually keep this lifestyle going on is int. But once you’re on that train, once you’re past this fear of being “lost” and once you’re actually making a living, you just realize your “courage” muscles have just been upgraded. And you’re ready to tackle challenges you never ever though of before. And that’s a very, very good thing.

5 Hacks To Speed Up The Learning Process

The ability to learn things quickly is a tremendous asset. People who can rapidly grasp new concepts, learn and apply new and effective skills, and process new information in a short amount of time have a distinct advantage over those who struggle to learn.
Is speed learning reserved for a select minority, endowed with the gift of intellect that few possess? Is it only available to the “geniuses” among us? The answer is, “No.” Every one of us can learn to learn faster, and there are a few simple tools that can help us. If these tools are committed to mastery through habit they will produce massive results in our ability to learn concepts faster, process new information in a shorter amount of time, and rapidly expand our abilities and knowledge.
So, without delay, here are 5 hacks to speed up the learning process:

1. Focus on number of repetitions, not on the amount of time we practice.

When we say that we “studied for five hours straight,” we are often deceiving ourselves. How much of that five hours was spent in focused attention? How much time did we spend on distractions, like checking our email, or Facebook or Twitter? The key is not the length of time we spend when learning something. The key is the amount of learning repetitions that we engage in. Repetition is one of the most powerful levers we have because it wires our brain. The power of repetition is well known by top performers, athletes, musicians, and the military. Time spent is not nearly as important as the number of reps.
So here is the first step: get rid of the watch. Instead, focus your attention on completing repetitions. Instead of saying, “I’ll study my notes for two hours,” say, “I’ll read my notes through, line by line, three times from start to finish.” This causes you to focus your attention on results. It also eliminates the “illusion of effectiveness” because you can’t fool yourself. Either you completed the task, or you didn’t.

2. Break everything down into small chunks.

Author and talent expert Daniel Coyle, in his best-selling book, The Talent Code, says that “chunks are to skill what the letters of the alphabet are to language. Alone, each is nearly useless, but when combined into bigger chunks (words), and when those chunks are combined into still bigger things (sentences, paragraphs), they can build something complex and beautiful.” Chunking is important because it is the way that our brain learns. Every skill or piece of knowledge that we attain is comprised of many smaller pieces, or chunks, of information.
One of the first things that we should do when attempting to learn something new is to break the material or task down into many small chunks. Do it for the entire task or material. What we are left with then is a whole bunch of small chunks. Once this is done we proceed to step three.

3. Perfect each chunk and then create a “chunk chain.”

Now that we have a whole bunch of chunks we can then proceed to master each individual chunk on its own. This is what we focus our repetitions on (see step 1). The task or skill that we are trying to learn is comprised of a whole bunch of smaller parts. We have determined what those smaller parts consist of, now we just perfect each part on its own, and as we perfect the parts we form a chunk chain. This is where we start to build on each chunk with another chunk, and over time we will completely master the entire process.
Most importantly, by doing it this way, we will find that we master the process much quicker than if we tried to memorize the entire task on its own. Thus, since we have built a chunk chain, we can see how each individual piece is related to the other pieces. This gives us a complex understanding of the task or material and allows us quick recall ability in the future.

4. Turn the learning process into a game, with rules and rewards.

We like games and our brain likes games. When learning becomes an enjoyable game, time stands still, and we immerse ourselves in repetitions of the material. So if we are trying to learn something new, an effective strategy is to “game it.” Create a game that we can play. Set the rules to the game, and create a rewards systems (this is another very important thing as the brain loves rewards).
Rewards are at the foundation of habit formation, as noted by Charles Duhigg in his best-selling book, The Power of Habit. Once a behavior becomes a habit we perform it much easier and faster. If we can create a reward system based on a game from the learning process, then we can crystallize learning as a habit and we will learn faster. Daniel Coyle, concerning the importance of games in learning also notes:

The term “drill” evokes a sense of drudgery and meaninglessness. It’s mechanical, repetitive, and boring—as the saying goes, drill and kill. Games, on the other hand, are precisely the opposite. They mean fun, connectedness, and passion. And because of that, skills improve faster when they’re looked at this way.

5. Repeat “focus bursts,” where we give our very best effort for a short period of time, then take fulfilling and refreshing breaks.

There are multiple studies that confirm that proper rest increases brain functioning. The typical, caffeine-induced, late night cramming session that most students engage in at least once in their life is not the most effective way to learn. In fact, there is evidence to suggest that it is the least effective way. If we want to learn something quickly, we need to do it when our minds are fresh. We need to engage in “focus bursts” where, with fresh energy and a well-rested mind, we focus all our attention on learning, perfecting, and linking the chunks (see step 3). Then, when we start to feel our effectiveness dissipate, we take breaks to recharge.
Focus burst, recharge, focus burst, recharge. Over and over again. This is the way to speed up the learning process. Long study sessions are not as effective as short bursts. In long sessions we are prone to distraction, and we are also prone to focusing on time rather than repetitions. However, if we will train ourselves to learn like a top athlete trains (in smaller, high intensity chunks) we will be very happy with the results that we get.

Oglašavanje i virtualna zabava oblikuje našu podsvest.Primera radi prosečan amerikanac do  18 godina ima priliku videti do 200.000 simuliranih činova nasilja, i to ne samo kroz serije i filmove već i kroz sportske emisije, reklame i različite oblike virtualnih igrica. Zahvaljujući takvom načinu „odrastanja“ mladi amerikanac postaje prijemčiv na korištenje: droga i alkohola, te razvija intenzivnu želju za ispoljavanjem agresivnosti. Jako je vazno biti svestan  ovog nacina psihološkog programiranja koji put do našeg uma pronalazi uz pomoć modernih medija. Ljudi su naučeni živeti u simuliranoj stvarnosti, s predodređenim ciljevima i aspiracijama i naravno lažnim očekivanjima.

Seks je, nakon agresivnosti, najčešći motiv na našem “prozoru u svet” i po internetu, ne samo da se seks prodaje na svakom koraku i utiče od mode do ponašanja, već seks prodaje ideje i proizvode.

Yahoo je o uticaju eksploatacije seksa i pornografije u našem društvu napravio odličan tekst.U njemu se navodi kako eksplicitan i neobavezan odnos spram seksa i seksualnosti u našem modernom društvu čini više štete nego li koristi. Najgore je što moderan način propagiranja seksa kroz masovne medije propagira isključivo fizički odnos koji nema veze s romantičnim osećajima i pravom na izbor, kakav god on bio.Tužno je da društvo postaje sve sklonije otvorenoj pedofiliji pomerajuci starosne  granice populacije zaokupljene seksom do potpunog poremećaja.Za to su najbolji primer super popularni izbori lepote za devojčice od 4-6 godina koji se mogu videti na brojnim američkim i svetskim televizijskim programima.Čak se i obične tetovaže bolje prodaju ako se “prigodno” prikažu. Sama pornografija je jedan od najlukrativnijih medijskih poduhvata, pornografski programi su sasvim uobičajena stvar i o njima nećemo trošiti previše vremena, no interesantno je da su ovakvi sadržaji na otvorenom delu interneta najprodavaniji, kao što su programi s istim sadržajem najgledaniji na televiziji. NAUCNA ISTRAZIVANJA O NEGATIVNOM UCINKU TELEVIZIJE  NA LJUDE

Reuters je objavio interesant tekst o studiji naucnika sa Univerziteta Severne Karoline koji su otkrili kako pozadinska buka s televizora utiče hipnotički na decu i odvlači im pažnju, snažno negativno utiče na dečiju sposobnost komunikacije, i potencijalno im smanjuje kogniciju i razvitak jezika.

Druga studija koja je objavljena u žurnalu Peditarics je otkrila kako su deca u SAD-u pod uticajem televizije više od pet sati dnevno. Matthew Lapierre, vođa tima koji se bavio ovim ispitivanjem je pojasnio da deca koja provedu više pred upaljenim televizijskim ekranima provode manje vremena u komunikaciji s drugom decom i svojim roditeljima te da to stvara brojne probleme. Lapierre je također otkrio da su najmanja deca najviše pod uticajem pozadinskih šumova iz televizije. Dr. Victor Strasburger sa Univerziteat  u Novom Meksiku je na to izjavio: „Rezultati Lapierrove studije bi trebali dati jasan signal roditeljima da ugase televiziju kada je ne gledaju, čak i kada njihova deca ne sede pred televizorom, hipnotičko delovanje pozadinskih šumova s televizije utiče na decu na sve moguće načine. Reklame, pesme, muzika, tekstovi filmova i serija ostaju zapisani u dečjem mozgu, a posledice su porazne. Naročito je veliki uticaj televizije za malu decu koja su tek počela jezično komunicirati, tako maloj deci je jako teško razlikovati poruke s televizije od poruka koje čuju od roditelja.“

U studiji koju su napravili istrazivacu  s Kraljevskog Univerziteta u Londonu, je otkriveno kako je današnje dete staro sedam godina gleda televiziju punu godinu dana, ova studija je takođe otkrila da prosečno dete provede više vremena pred televizijom nego li u školi.

Dr. Aric Sigman je publikovao studiju u žurnalu Archives Of Disease In Childhood u kojoj se pokazuje koliko je opasna televizija za sve koji je gledaju, jer utiče na socijalne odnose gledaoca  stvarajuci  značajne psihološke poremećaje. Sigman je također otkrio da moderna tehnologija kao što su 3D televizori i 3D bioskopi dodatno negativno uticu i stvaraju  nepravilan razvoj percepcije i osećaja dubine kod dece i mladih. U studiji se navodi kako deca mlađa od tri godine nikako ne bi trebala gledati televiziju bez obzira o kojom je programima i emisijama reč, takođe se navodi kako sva starija deca ne bi trebala gledati televiziju više od dva sata na dan i to nikako odjednom.

Koliko znamo o uticaju televizije na decu?

Sigman je naveo kako duže gledanje televiziju kod deteta stvara sledeće poremećaje; probleme s vidom, povećanu telesnu težinu, nervozu, povećanu agresivnost, poremećaj koncentracije i rastrešenost, nepravilan razvoj centra za verbalnu komunikaciju i oštećenja očnog živca.

2010. godine je objavljena još jedna studija u žurnalu Pediatrics u kojoj je analizirano preko 1000 dece 10 i 11 godina starosti koja su u proseku provodila najmanje dva sata pred upaljenom televizijom razvila 60% više psiholoških problema i poremećaja nego li deca koja su manje vremena provodila pred televizijom. Ova šokantna studija je otkrila da ta ista deca imaju 50% više mogućnosti za razvijanje hiperaktivnosti, te da u istoj meri postaju agresivna i antisocijalna te da imaju velike probleme s ponašanjem i komunikacijom.

U žurnalu Američke Pedijatrijske Akademije (AAP) je otkriven poražavajući podatak da na decu najgore deluju upravo programi koji su njima najomiljeniji, moderni crtani filmovi, zabavne emisije za decu i mlade i filmovi za istu grupu deluju izrazito negativno na dečji biheviorizam i razvoj. Osim smanjenja koncentracije i zatupljivanja, ovakvi programi utiču na njihov način razmišljanja i oblikuju njihove stavove mimo kućnog vaspitanja.

Najporažavajući podatak ove studije je da program za decu i mlade uništava njihovo analitičko razmišljanje, u potpunosti umanjuje njihov kritički um te im upropaštava logičku kogniciju, no nemojmo zaboraviti i poražavajuće brojke koje povezuju video igrice i nastanak epilepsije kod dece.

Morali bi se zapitati: jesu li deca jedina koja pate od negativnog uticaja televizije?

TELEVIZIJSKA HIPNOZA

Poznato je da žmirkanje televizijskog ekrana i ekrana kompjutera inducira alfa talase u mozgu, tacnije titranje ekrana uspavljuje mozak i služi kao hipnotički otvarač, na takav način postajemo prijemčivi svim informacijama koje dobijamo sa „malih ekrana.“

Nakon dužeg gledanja televizije, naša moždana aktivnost će dodatno pasti,nestaje kritičko razmišljanje,ipak centri za memoriju ostaju aktivni isto kao i centri za izazivanje različitih emocija i senzacija. Šta god nam tada dolazi sa televizijskih ekrana mi ćemo upiti kao sundjeri i te će informacije bile one vredne ili ne ostati u našem mozgu. Drugim rečima TV će na nas delovati emocionalno, dok će logika i kritičko razmišljanje ostati po strani.

MOZAK NALIK SVAJCARSKOM SIRU

U drugim studijama se pokazalo kako postoji povezanost između prevelikog gledanja televizije i nastanka Alzheimerove bolesti. Polu-svesno stanje do koga dolazi gledanjem  televizije direktno pomaže gubitku aktivne moždane memorije, poremećajima u centru za govor, motoriku i percepciju.

Krugman je također otkrio kako čitanje i slušanje ljudskog govora koji nije snimljen, povećava kogniciju, gradi neuronske veze i potpomaže kritičko razmišljanje naročito kada smo aktivni u raspravama i razgovoru. Pasivno slušanje i gledanje televizije je najgora stvar koja se može dogoditi našem mozgu.

Važno je navesti kako televizijom uzrokovana pometnja između rada leve i desne moždane hemisfere dovodi do lucenja prirodnih opijata u mozgu.Oni nalikuju na otpuštanje endorfina za vreme različitih fizičkih aktivnosti. Zbog toga se gledateljima televizije čini da se dobro osećaju ispred svog “prozora u svet”. Nakon što se mozak nevoljno drogirao, svi gledaoci  mogu osetiti i neugodnu stranu „kicka,“ kada prestanu s gledanjem televizije, simptomi uključuju; povećanu nervozu, frustraciju, depresiju i nenadane napade bijesa.

DRUSTVENI SUROGAT

U eksperimentu koji je napravljen 1970., godine se otkrilo kako dugotrajni gledatelji televizije koji su za vreme eksperimenta apstinirali od iste zabave, su svi odreda patili od depresije koja je imala iste simptome kao da su dotične osobe izgubile bliskog prijatelja.

Kombinacija naucnih studija  koja je objavljena u Journal of Experimental Social Psychology je pokazala kako televizija stvara osjećaj pripadnosti kod gledatelja koji imaju nisko mišljenje o sebi i koji su uglavnom usamljeni. S ovim istraživanjima po prvi put se stvorila kovanica hipoteze društvenog surogata. Psiholozi sa Sveučilišta u Buffalu, Miamiju i Ohiu su otkrili kako gledatelji pokušavaju nadopuniti  televizijskim programima emocionalnu prazninu, nedostatak romantičnih veza i naravno kako s televizijom žele ublažiti snažnu socijalnu deprivaciju. U ovakvim situacijama gledatelji se emocionalno povezuju s različitim imaginarnim likovima na televiziji.

TELEVIZIJA DROGA ZA MILIJARDE LJUDI

Sve ovo što smo do sada naveli u gornjem delu teksta je tek mali deo radova i studija koji se bave fenomenom televizije i najmasovnijih medija. Televizija nas svakodnevno bombarduje sa svih strana, stvara distrakcije, uzrokuje promenjena stanja svesti, oblikuje našu psihu, iskrivljava stanovišta, upropaštava kritički i logički um, zatupljuje nas, eutanazira našu empatiju i subliminarno nas menja.

Hteli mi to priznati ili ne, televizija nas programira, drogira i pretvara u bića nalik zombiju. Želimo li dobro sebi i narednim generacijama, moramo se edukovati o uticaju televizije i ostalih modernih masovnih medija.

Deprogramiranje nije i neće biti lako,ali  postoje samo dva puta; jedan je da nastavimo ovako kako smo „životarili“ do sada uz likove iz omiljenih serija, filmova i emisija, a drugi je da zaista počnemo živeti svoj život.

More and more we are realizing that simpler is better: that when we simplify our lives the better they get. From a young age I realized that happiness was in simplicity, but it took me many years to realize how to make it work — to realize that the adoption of routines and habits could make my life better, not boring.
Here are 11 habits that I have adopted over the years that have contributed to making my life easier, and a lot happier!

Give Your Kids a Routine

To many parents, living with routine is a normal part of life. It took me until the birth of my third child to accept and adopt routines. I was 24 when I had my first child, too young and cool to accept structure in my life. I loved spontaneity and resisted routine. It took me ten years to realize I wasn’t doing myself any favors. Stick to bedtimes, mealtimes and bath times. Kids feel more secure in the structure and you get to have more relaxed free time for yourself.

Plan Your Week in Advance

Use a calendar and plan your week. Include all appointments, meetings and work that needs to be done. You are much more likely to do the work if it is scheduled in your calendar. Your calendar is the number one tool to beat procrastination.

Write Things Down

Get everything out of your head weekly. Write down all your tasks, responsibilities, ideas, goals and dreams. By getting everything out of your head you are not going around with an overloaded brain, which disturbs your focus and ability to think clearly.

Use a Task Manager

When you get everything out of your head, you should get the tasks you need to do either into a task manager or your calendar. Tasks that are date- or time-specific should go into your calendar and all other tasks can go into your task manager. I use Evernote to store my tasks, it has the added benefit of capturing everything and giving you a place to store reference items, such as social security numbers or any other details that you may need at a moment’s notice.

Stay Clutter-free

Clear out your home and your office regularly. The less stuff you have the less complicated your life will be. Keep it simple when it comes to personal belongings; don’t hang on to stuff that is neither useful nor beautiful. The more I clear from my house and my office, the lighter I feel. There is less to tidy and sort through each day, giving me more free time to do whatever I want.

Clean as You Go

My mommy always told me, “Clean as you go.” I was never good at taking advice, but when I finally decided to accept her wise words I started to benefit from more free time at the weekends. Always wash the dinner plates after dinner. Get the kids to clear up their toys after they finish playing with them. Try and stay alert to what needs to be put away. Tidying as you go will keep the place neat and organized.

Plan Your Meals

Plan out your meals for the week before you go shopping. It will save you time in the shops, save you money because you will eat everything you buy, and save you a lot of stress by having it all planned out. Weekly shopping and weekly meal planning are great ways to save time and money.

Create a Budget

Keep tabs on what you spend each day and enter it into a spreadsheet for later analysis. Write in everything you spend money on in the month and look to see if you can make any savings. When you know what you spend, you can make an informed decision about whether your current spending pattern is the best way to spend your hard-earned cash. When you know how much you want to spend on shopping, entertainment, presents etc. — stick to it.

Disconnect

Having down time is essential for our health, wellbeing and sanity. Make sure you have times where you disconnect from electronics and you live in the real world for a period. Time out in nature will do you and your body good. Take back the control of your life and create a regular habit of disconnection.

Learn to Say, “No”

Helping others is a noble trait, but it is also important to recognize when helping others is making you suffer. Get into the habit of putting yourself and your family first. If you say, “Yes,” to helping someone at work, does that mean you have to say, “No,” to reading a bedtime story?

Be Present

The more we can live in the present moment, the simpler and happier our lives will become. As Lao Tzu said:

If you are depressed, you are living in the past. If you are anxious, you are living in the future. If you are at peace, you are living in the moment.

Learn to simplify your life and be grateful for all the things that you have in it. Happiness does not come from more possessions and more achievements. Happiness is in simplicity.

Be More Productive Using A Mind Map As a Task List

A mind map is a great tool for capturing ideas quickly, presenting them in a nice, graphical and hierarchical form. But can it be used as a task list?
Your task list can exist in many different forms and you probably already have it on a sheet of paper, sticky notes or captured in some electronic device. Some people use good, old Notepad, but there are many applications to help you capture your tasks, such as Remember the Milk, Evernote, IQTell, OmniFocus, or simply Microsoft OneNote.
I have been successfully using mind maps to store my tasks for several years and there are a number of people that have liked and adopted this idea. I believe there are some great advantages: just try it!

Starting out

First, you need an application to build and manage the mind map. It can be used on a computer or 10″ tablet (smaller devices don’t work that well). If you don’t know where to start, try FreeMind, which is free and can be used on different platforms and operating systems.
Name the root of the map as “Tasks”, “ToDo”, or simply your name, and add four basic sections: “Urgent” and “Projects” on the right-hand side, and “Delegated” (or “Awaiting”) and “Done” on the left-hand side.

As you can see, the rules are simple and very intuitive, and using a mind map as a task list has some advantages over traditional techniques, as follows:

It’s visual

Your task list is no longer just a flat list with some text — some people hate task lists because of that. By using a mind map, you can preserve the hierarchy and priorities of the tasks, nest them and reorganize easily. You can also apply different fonts and colors, or make hyperlinks. It’s your list, so you can organize it your own way.

It involves emotions

With just one look your mind map can show you where you are. You can see it and you can feel it. Sometimes you can see that one of the projects is overloaded, that you have far too many delegated tasks, or there is one task that has been there since forever because the goal was not clear. With each completed task you can see your progress by simply noting how the “Done” section grows. It is great to look at it at the end of your week and be proud of that!

It tracks delegated tasks

I can often see that many people struggle because their task lists do not have the ability to track the task that was delegated to someone else. It is either marked as “Done” (I’ve done my part) or stays there, calling for action and making the picture blurry. Dedicated section for delegated tasks solves the problem and also keeps the list visual.

It tracks the progress

Because there is a separate section for already completed tasks, you can see how this grows and feel good about it. With just one look you can see where you are and how much you have already accomplished this week, and it is much easier to write reports or summarize your work. These small achievements are your small victories.

It calls for retrospectives

After one week, the “Done” section is probably quite large and this is the moment to clean it up. Of course you can simply delete the tasks that were completed from the mind map, but you could also spend half an hour, or even just few minutes, and reflect on them. Which gave you the most satisfaction? Which drained energy from you? What could you do better next week?
When you are done, delete them, but it will give you the feeling of a small victory. Many people are really surprised when they see that list at the end of the week!

It can be personalized

Another great thing is that you can apply your own format to it. You may change fonts, apply different colors or add images to different projects. You may add icons to some tasks, for example when you think there is some risk associated with it. The mind map is all yours, when you think something can be done your own way, just do it!

Summary

I believe this technique has many advantages over traditional, “flat” task lists. It can be used on any device using any mind mapping application you like. There is no special magic behind this. You can easily improve it over time and fine tune it to your personal style. You can see and you can feel the progress.

3 Easy Ways to Increase Your Writing Speed

Does this situation sound familiar? You sit in front of the computer with the full intention to write a blog post, paper, or article, but the moment your fingers touch the keyboard, you can’t bring yourself to type up anything decent. Your muse or source of inspiration is nowhere to be found and you’re easily distracted (*cough* Facebook!) Before you know it, an hour has passed and you’re still staring at a blank page.
Slow writing days aren’t pretty. They kill your productivity and leave you feeling like you just wasted a lot of time. And if you’re trying to make a living doing it, then you know that not being able to write fast enough can also kill your earnings.
Fortunately though, slow writing days don’t have to be the norm. As you’ll find out below, developing the right habits when it comes to writing and idea generation will save you lots of time and make the writing process smoother and easier.

1. Always have your ideas handy

A lot of writers get stuck at the very beginning. They sit in front of the screen without having a clue as to what to write about, so they end up wasting time racking their brains for something to clever to put on paper.
Don’t make the same mistake. Avoid taking on a writing task empty-handed (or should we say “empty-minded”). It’s a one-way street to Writer’s Block Lane or Distraction Boulevard. Instead, develop the habit of always keeping your eyes and mind open for ideas.
If you’re reading a blog post and see something that you can write about in the future, take note of it immediately. Write it down or use a note taking app such as Evernote to do it. Hear an inspirational quote that you could possibly use? Make a note of it so you won’t forget.
By doing so, you’ll always have a trusty note pad (or note app) filled with ideas, lines, or notions that you can draw inspiration from. Have your notes with you at all times and whip them out when you need to come up with content. Do this, and you’ll find it easier to begin writing.

2. Create an outline

Before proceeding to write a witty introduction or type up lengthy paragraphs, plan out your post by creating an outline. Jot down a quick line or two about what you need to say at the beginning, write down the main points that you want to discuss in the body, and then move on to the conclusion.
Having an outline gives you a plan. It gives your writing some direction, organizes your thoughts, and helps you flesh out your ideas quickly and more effectively. It also keeps you from being distracted. An outline enables you to stay on point and prevents you from wasting time writing things that are irrelevant or unimportant.

3. Don’t mix research and editing with writing

Once you have an outline, do your research and look up all the things that you need before you begin writing. Get the research task out of the way so that you can just focus on finishing that article. Don’t do your research and writing simultaneously–this will only lead to distraction and it will slow you down.
Avoid looking up words or synonyms while you’re in the middle of writing. Doing so can curtail your thought process. If you think that there’s a better word than the one you just typed, highlight it, then keep writing. You can go back to it later when you’re polishing the piece.
The same goes for fact checking or ensuring that you spelled names or took down numbers correctly. One minute you’re looking up stats to make sure that you wrote them down, then, before you know it, you’re clicking through blogs or checking your Twitter feed.
Just take note of these little things and deal with them once you’re done with the entire first daft.

Serif is authoritative. Authority blogs make use of this font. The most famous authority bloggers have built their careers on the articles they write. Of course there are other elements to be considered but one of them is the font they use on their blogs.
Sans Serif is universal. Blogs are a global thing. Naturally if you put anything on your site, you might as well make it understandable and relatable wherever they might be.
Slab Serif is strong. Strength is admired by everyone. I have yet to see an individual who is not impressed by strength.
Script is elegant. Art blogs, music biz, the film industry, and other sites dealing with creativity will benefit from utilizing a script font. They’ll project alegance right away.

The Healing Power of Rain Water

Living amidst nature can be such a beautiful learning experience, one of the lessons we learned while we were living in the countryside was the importance of water. During summer, temperatures would soar up to 42 degrees Celsius (107 Fahrenheit) inside the house and it was even more outside.
But the most gruesome challenge was the lack of water; we were living on rain water that collected in the ground. By summer the water well would run dry, changing the entire landscape – trees would loose their leaves or they look all shriveled up, the only time we would hear a bird would be early in the morning or at the time of sunset.
We would eagerly await the arrival of monsoons, as that drastically changed the barren landscape to a spectrum of luscious green. Birds display their best shades and sing their finest tunes to attract mates, flowers blossom, butterflies chase each other while dragonflies dart about. The vibration changed completely with the onset of the rains, every plant and animal moves from survival mode to growth and reproduction, love is in the air.

When we were young it was natural for us to go out and get wet in the first rains, the cure for the prickly heat. Although today in any major city, the pollution brings down acid rain that isn’t good at all. In the days gone by, almost all Indian healers specializing in the treatment of cancer recommend the use of rain water.
A research conducted on traditional medicinal knowledge with regards to rain water by Pankaj Oudhia, states, “The healers prefer the water from first rains, but in case of poor collection, they collect water from subsequent rains. For collection of rain water, they prefer Tamra Patra (Copper vessels). The traditional healers in interior regions having not enough purchasing capacity to buy Tamra Patra, use earthen pots (Ghada) to collect rain water.
According to them, the water must be collected before it reaches the ground, although the rain water coming down through plants are also collected but they have specific list of plants that can be used for this purpose.”
Ayurveda or ayurvedic medicine is a system of traditional medicine native to the Indian subcontinent and a form of alternative medicine. Here’s an ayurvedic weight loss recipe that uses rain water as one of its ingredients.
But don’t you think that water dropping from the sky at a point of time when there is so much of positivity will have some kind of change in its molecular structure? It will only seem familiar if you have heard of Masaru Emoto’s work, that talks about how water adapts according to the environment it is in.
Back to my story, in a week after the rains start, the ground water is replenished. We would then be bathing and drinking this water straight from the ground without any boiling or filtering. There is a feeling of being charged when you consume this water and even a bath with it without altering its natural temperature is most refreshing. People who have lived long life spans have often had one thing in common, access to high quality clean water.
Not to forget the calming feeling evoked by the sound of rain water, it’s supposed to open up the fourth or the heart chakra. On a personal note I feel that this is one of the reasons that my hair loss stopped and I actually regained some lost growth while living there.
One also needs to consider the magic of the holiest river in India, the Ganga. Although the river is heavily polluted in a number of spots, there is an unknown factor (science cannot explain) as to how the Ganga heals itself. We think its the faith of thousands of people who come and bathe into the river each day; their beliefs of the water being holy and that it is not only pure but has the power to purify them!

Most of us may not be able to remove ourselves completely from the major stressors in our life (we usually need money so need to keep our jobs and it’s still impolite to get rid of our children).  This means you need to develop new coping strategies and methods to reduce your stress AND keep your Qi and blood flowing smoothly in your body.  If you want to be healthy or stay healthy, you MUST develop ways to relieve stress and anxiety in your life.
Here are some stress and anxiety relief tools you can try to see which are the most effective for you:

• Qigong or Tai Chi exercises
• Massage or Tui Na
• Meditation and visualization
• Acupuncture
• Yoga
• Walks (recommend 30 min/day, 5 times a week)
• Relaxing bathes (try with candles and/or scents)
• Aromatherapy – lavender oil, lemon balm
• Herbs (kava, melatonin, and passion flower are herbs that, according to “Natural Medicines Comprehensive Database” are recognized as “possibly effective” natural herbs for anxiety)
• Change eating habits (limit sugar, limit packaged foods, caffeine, alcohol, nicotine, street drugs; eat more green vegies)
• Sleep – sleep in a pitch black-dark room for at least 8 hours
• Take breaks from work (balance fun activities with your job and family duties. Schedule some leisure time every day. Spend time with people you enjoy, including your family.)
• Keep your hands busy and occupied – make things with your hands (knit, beading, scrapbooking, etc)
• Learn something new, such as an instrument or a language
• Music – listen to music that you enjoy and connect with

You should choose several of these new tools and start using them in your life. Immediately. This is a new coping skill you are developing so you need to give it focus, time, and commitment.
If you are experiencing cardiac problems and symptoms, you should not only incorporate SEVERAL of the stress reducing methods (listed above) in your life, you should also get regular (such as weekly or every-other week) Qigong medical treatments with a certified Qigong Medical therapist. If your cardiac problems are starting to resolve, then I would suggest Qigong medical treatments about every 3 or 4 weeks.
Stress and anxiety can be dangerous. Cardiac problems will eventually present themselves in your life unless you learn to manage and deal with these stressors and emotions in your life.
You are in charge of your life and your health.  You can get control of anxiety and stress.  You can improve your heart’s health.  You can make different choices.

Ako ste u poslu, onda mnogo toga imate da radite i uradite. Ostati fokusiran i skoncentrisan danas je veoma teško.

Svaki minut napadaju vas mejlovi, telefonsko zvono, klijenti, zaposleni sa pitanjima i svi traže pažnju za sebe. U sred te zbrke i buke, morate shvatiti limite vašeg mozga, shodno tome se i ponašati kako biste povećali koncentraciju i samim tim produktivnost - dakle, uraditi više u jedinici vremena.

"Naš se mozak poslednjih godina navikao na ometanje i digitalnu sredinu u kojoj je veoma teško fokusirati se ne jednu stvar. Kad zvoni telefon ili svira poruka, to mozak remeti i šalje mu alarm:"Obrati pažnju na mene. Možda ovo može da bude važno i opasno", kaže Dejvid Rok, osnivač instituta Neurolidership.

Veoma je pohvalna veština obavljanja više poslova u isto vreme, ali ta ista nije korisna. "Ovakva veština umanjuje inteligenciju bukvalno smanjujući IQ. Tada pravimo greške, promiču nam "oštroumni" sadržaji, gubimo nit kada ne bi trebalo i pogrešno izgovaramo reči. S druge strane, kada radite više stvari odjednom, osećate zadovoljstvo kao nagradu. To je dobar osećaj i teško mu je odoleti, ali...", ističe Rok.

Dejvid Rok tvrdi da nam nije cilj da budemo fokusirani ceo dan. Naprotiv. Ali, mozgu je neophodno da bar dvadeset minuta dnevno bude u fokusu, skoncentrisan i neometan sa strane kako bi doživeo transformaciju.

Rok savetuje da probate tri jednostavna načina kako biste postigli dobru koncentraciju i produktivnost.

Prvo radite kreativne poslove. Obično svi ujutru prvo priđemo laganim zadacima za koje ne treba mnogo "mozga", a zatim tokom dana idemo ka sve težim. Obrnite redosled. Počnite dan sa zadacima koji traže kreativnost i koncentraciju, a dan završite sa brisanjem mejlova ili zakazivanjem sastanaka.

Rokova istraživanja su pokazala da smo samo šest sati nedeljno fokusirani. Zato je važno šta ćete uraditi za ovo vreme. Neki su ljudi najbolje fokusirani ujutru, neki uveče, a neki van kancelarije. U zavisnosti od vašeg perioda najboljeg fokusa, raspodelite zadatke - najteže završavajte kada ste u najboljem fokusu.

Trenirajte mozak kao i mišiće. Vaš se mozak brzo utrenira da, recimo, obavlja više zadataka odjednom i to postaje navika, ona koja nije korisna za vašu inteligenciju i produktvnost. Trenirajte mozak da bude skoncentrisan i u fokusu. Isključite sve ometajuće faktore i počnite sa pet minuta dnevno posvećivanja samo jednom zadatku. Jednom jedinom. Baš kao kada vežbate i razvijate mišiće da biste bili u formi. Tako pristupite i svom mozgu i primetićete veliku razliku u produktivnosti.

Njegova 70-godišnja žena skoro je umrla i time selidbu u dom učinila neophodnom. Posle mnogo sati strpljivog čekanja u holu doma, ugodno se nasmešio kada su mu rekli da mu je soba spremna. Dok je upravljao svojom šetalicom ka liftu, opisao sam mu njegovu malu sobu, uključujući i roletne koje su bile okačene na prozoru. “Sviđa mi se”, rekao je sa entuzijazmom osmogodišnjaka kome su upravo pokazali novu sobu. “G. Džons, još uvek niste videli sobu, sačekajte još malo”. “To nema nikakve veze sa ovim. Sreća je nešto o čemu odlučujete unapred. Da li će mi se dopasti soba ne zavisi od toga kako je raspoređen nameštaj, već kako ja rasporedim svoje misli. Već sam odlučio da mi se dopada.
