Tajna blistave lepote! Kako se prolepšati za samo 5 minuta?

Tajna blistave lepote! Kako se prolepšati za samo 5 minuta?

"Lepota će spasiti svet."
Dostojevski

I gledate u sebe.

Sada pogledajte sve tri fotografije i uporedite ih.
Kakvi su rezultati? :)

Tek kada zahvalnost postane navika i životni stil možete očekivati blagodeti u vidu mira, zadovoljstva i uspeha.

-izlečenje (makar i mali pomak u procesu izlečena),

-dobri odnosi u porodici,

Uradite to SADA!

I svaki dan bar jednom tu zahvalnost izrazite rečima!

Ne zaboravite vas same!

Fracking in Public Forests Leaves Long Trail of Damages

Fracking in Public Forests Leaves Long Trail of Damages

March 11, 2014 | By

Sharon Kelly, DeSmogBlog
Waking Times
Last Wednesday, the Washington D.C. city council passed a resolution opposing fracking in the George Washington National Forest, making the nation’s capitol the third major U.S. city, after Los Angeles and Dallas, to decry the hazards of shale drilling in recent days.
The D.C. council’s resolution called on the U.S. Forest Service to prohibit horizontal hydraulic fracturing in the forest’s headwaters of the Potomac River, the sole source of water for the nation’s capital, citing the risks of pollution and the costs of monitoring for contamination.
It is unclear whether the DC City Council vote will hold any sway in determining the actual fate of the forest. The decision whether to permit fracking there primarily rests with the U.S. Forest Service, which is currently updating its long-term management plan for the George Washington National Forest.
As the debate over shale drilling intensifies in the nation’s capitol and across the country, Pennsylvania offers useful lessons for how states have mishandled their forests. Pennsylvania has been ground zero for Marcellus shale development and roughly two thirds of Pennsylvania’s state forest land lies above the Marcellus shale, one of the largest shale plays in the U.S.
Cornell University Professor Anthony Ingraffea recently reviewed state data on environmental violations in Pennsylvania state forests, including the 100,000-acre Loyalsock forest in the north central part of the state, a popular tourist destination and the focus of a local controversy over fracking.
What Mr. Ingraffea found highlights the hazards of drilling and demonstrates how a powerful industry can overwhelm regulators’ capacity to protect against environmental harms.
State regulators, the data revealed, have been unable to adequately keep tabs on drilling on state lands.
Over 59 percent of the Marcellus wells already drilled in the Loyalsock had never been inspected, Prof. Ingraffea found, and over a quarter of wells on state lands had no inspection reports available to the public.
Of the wells that were inspected, at least six Marcellus wells in Pennsylvania’s state forest had begun leaking, including at least 2 of the 86 Marcellus wells in the Loyalsock. These leaks developed despite a long list of additional restrictions for drillers on state land, and promises from state officials to keep an especially sharp eye on drilling on public property.
In fact, across Pennsylvania, the data shows that Marcellus wells have been leaking at a disturbing rate. Up to 13 percent of shale wells drilled before 2009 have already developed leaks in their casings, the protective layer of cement and steel that is designed to isolate oil, gas, wastewater and chemicals from the surrounding rocks and aquifers, Mr. Ingraffea said in a December 12 TEDx talk.
Gas well casings are more likely to fail as a well gets older – cement begins to crack and crumble with old age. The oil and gas industry often blames problems in aging wells on outdated drilling and cementing technologies, arguing that new innovations make modern wells safer. But even newer wells have been failing at a striking rate in the Marcellus, Mr. Ingraffea said. “We’ve analyzed very modern well technology and found that the failure rates are about as bad as they’ve always been,” he told the crowd.
When gas well casings leak, not only can groundwater supplies be contaminated, but the natural gas itself leaks out to the atmosphere. This unburned natural gas is primarily made of methane – one of the most powerful greenhouse gasses, with a climate-changing impact 86 times that of carbon dioxide, or CO2, in the first decades after it leaks. So when gas wells leak, families nearby can lose their drinking water supplies and the impact on the climate can be significant.
With so many wells going uninspected, it’s difficult to pin down just how many Marcellus wells have developed leaks. State inspectors also do not always record the details of their findings, meaning that it’s possible the true leakage rate is even higher than public data would suggest.
Pennsylvania has repeatedly drawn national attention for its inability – and at times apparent reluctance – to police the drilling boom.
Dozens of past and contemporary state officials had ties to the oil and gas industry, a 2013 report by the Public Accountability Initiative on Pennsylvania’s “revolving door” between industry and state found, including 28 who left their jobs to go work for the industry they had policed.
Between 2000 and 2012, the oil and gas industry made over $8 million in campaign contribution to state-level politicians in Pennsylvania, a report by Common Cause PA and the Conversation Voters of PA found, and the industry spent an additional $15.7 million on lobbying at the state level between 2007 and 2012.
And a string of environmental regulators have been caught in embarrassing gaffes: in February, it was revealed that a senior official at the Department of Environmental Protection was investing in the oil and gas industry while he held office, a Department of Conservation and Natural Resources official publicly compared Gasland filmmaker Josh Fox to the Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels, and the former head of the DEP, Michael Krancer, stepped down from office while under investigation by the state’s auditor general for how his office handled water contamination testing related to shale gas.
And all indications suggest that Pennsylvania officials plan to keep moving full speed ahead into the drilling boom, including where public lands are concerned.
Last month, Pennsylvania’s governor Tom Corbett announced plans to reverse a 2010 moratorium and raise $75 million by leasing state forest land for shale gas extraction, which the Philadelphia Inquirer calculated will require allowing drilling beneath 25,000 acres of public forests.
Although the Governor’s plan would not allow drillers so-called “surface rights,” or the right to use the surface of newly-leased land for drilling pads, drillers could fracture underneath the forests from well pads on nearby private land – and on state lands whose mineral rights were leased or sold before the moratorium was put in place.
Before the moratorium, Pennsylvania had already leased 385,400 acres to oil and gas companies, and the state does not own the mineral rights to another 290,000 acres eyed by drillers. Corbett’s new plan makes drilling in and near state forests all the more attractive to oil and gas companies by allowing them to bundle in acreage that is currently off-limits.
“The Loyalsock State Forest has become a truly wild and undisturbed part of Pennsylvania.  For many, it is Pennsylvania’s ‘Wild Alaska’ – a place that deserves the best protection we can give it,” said Paul Zeph, Director of Conservation for Audubon PA, in reaction to Mr. Corbett’s announcement. “The Governor should not be working in secrecy to get the most money for drilling in this critical habitat; but rather should be working publicly to get the most protection for it.”
But as drillers chip away at protections for Pennsylvania’s last wilderness areas — which National Geographic calls home to “some 2,000 trout streams and one of the darkest night skies in the East” — the damage done is mounting. Just upstream from World’s End State Park, a 2012 pipeline construction accident sullied Loyalsock Creek. Hiking planning guides now describe not only scenic vistas but also wilderness fracking: “This part of the tour also includes a pig launcher, used to clean the pipes; recently fracked well pads (part of your State Forest that is now off limits); another possible compressor pad site; a 14.8 million gallon reservoir for fracking water; large water pipes along the berm,” reads a Sierra Club tour site.
With pressure rising to drill on public lands nationwide, it’s worth keeping a sharp eye on what’s been happening in Pennsylvania and the ways that regulators have tried, and at times failed, to control the boom.

10 Things Happy People Do Differently

10 Things Happy People Do Differently

10 Things Happy People Do Differently

Communication Motivation August 20 by
Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions.
-Dalai Lama
Think being happy is something that happens as a result of luck, circumstance, having money, etc.? Think again.
Happiness is a mindset. And if you’re looking to improve your ability to find happiness, then check out these 10 things happy people do differently.

1. Happy people find balance in their lives.

Folks who are happy have this in common: they’re content with what they have, and don’t waste a whole lot of time worrying and stressing over things they don’t. Unhappy people do the opposite: they spend too much time thinking about what they don’t have. Happy people lead balanced lives. This means they make time for all the things that are important to them, whether it’s family, friends, career, health, religion, etc.

2. Happy people abide by the golden rule.

rule
You know that saying you heard when you were a kid, “Do unto others as you would have them do to you.” Well, happy people truly embody this principle. They treat others with respect. They’re sensitive to the thoughts and feelings of other people. They’re compassionate. And they get treated this way (most of the time) in return.

3. Happy people don’t sweat the small stuff.

One of the biggest things happy people do differently compared to unhappy people is they let stuff go. Bad things happen to good people sometimes. Happy people realize this, are able to take things in stride, and move on. Unhappy people tend to dwell on minor inconveniences and issues, which can perpetuate feelings of sadness, guilt, resentment, greed, and anger.

4. Happy people take responsibility for their actions.

Happy people aren’t perfect, and they’re well aware of that. When they screw up, they admit it. They recognize their faults and work to improve on them. Unhappy people tend to blame others and always find an excuse why things aren’t going their way. Happy people, on the other hand, live by the mantra:
“There are two types of people in the world: those that do and those that make excuses why they don’t.”

5. Happy people surround themselves with other happy people.

happiness surrounding
One defining characteristic of happy people is they tend to hang out with other happy people. Misery loves company, and unhappy people gravitate toward others who share their negative sentiments. If you’re struggling with a bout of sadness, depression, worry, or anger, spend more time with your happiest friends or family members. Chances are, you’ll find that their positive attitude rubs off on you.

6. Happy people are honest with themselves and others.

People who are happy often exhibit the virtues of honesty and trustworthiness. They would rather give you candid feedback, even when the truth hurts, and they expect the same in return. Happy people respect people who give them an honest opinion.

7. Happy people show signs of happiness.

smile
This one may sound obvious but it’s a key differentiator between happy and unhappy people. Think about your happiest friends. Chances are, the mental image you form is of them smiling, laughing, and appearing genuinely happy. On the flip side, those who aren’t happy tend to look the part. Their posture may be slouched and you may perceive a lack of confidence.

8. Happy people are passionate.

Another thing happy people have in common is their ability to find their passions in life and pursue those passions to the fullest. Happy people have found what they’re looking for, and they spend their time doing what they love.

9. Happy people see challenges as opportunities.

Folks who are happy accept challenges and use them as opportunities to learn and grow. They turn negatives into positives and make the best out of seemingly bad situations. They don’t dwell on things that are out of their control; rather, they seek solutions and creative ways of overcoming obstacles.

10. Happy people live in the present.

While unhappy people tend to dwell on the past and worry about the future, happy people live in the moment. They are grateful for “the now” and focus their efforts on living life to the fullest in the present. Their philosophy is:
There’s a reason it’s called “the present.” Because life is a gift.

10 Facts About Kissing That Will Surely Impress You

10 Facts About Kissing That Will Surely Impress You

Health Lifestyle February 27 by
Kissing someone you love is, shall we say, amazing, passionate, and romantic. It’s possible that it is one of the best feelings in life. However, did you know that there is more to kissing than just putting two sets of lips together? It’s true. In fact, there are many health benefits to kissing that you’ve probably never even thought about. Here, you’ll discover 10 facts about kissing that will make you want to kiss someone now.

1. Kissing boosts your immune system.

A study published in the Medical Hypotheses Journal determined that kissing can increase the immune system of a woman, particularly from a virus known as cytomegalovirus, which, if contracted during pregnancy, can cause birth defects and blindness to an infant. In addition, kissing naturally passes minor diseases from mouth to mouth which potentially strengthens the immune system.

2. Kissing is a great way to burn calories.

Some reports state that kissing actually burns anywhere from 2 to 6 calories per minute. Although not necessarily as good as a 30-minute cardio workout, you could burn a handful of chocolate chips, or a half glass of wine just by smooching for an hour!

3. Kissing is a natural relaxer.

Stress is a big part of today’s society. With busy work schedules, kids, and extracurricular activities, it’s definitely a great idea to find a way of relaxing after a hard day. Kissing is the perfect activity to do this. It actually releases oxytocin in your body, which is a natural calming chemical. It also increases endorphins, which increase that feel-good sensation. Furthermore, a good make-out session increases dopamine, which increases romantic feelings, giving your body an overall good, relaxed feeling.

4. Kissing increases facial muscle mass.

Although most people focus on tightening up their abs or slimming down their thighs, don’t forget to exercise your facial muscles. As you age, your lose muscle elasticity, and wind up with saggy cheeks and double chins. Kissing uses 30 different facial muscles, which can help slow the process of saggy skin, especially in your cheeks.

5. Kissing prevents cavities.

Another great benefit of kissing is the prevention of cavities, but only if you slip your partner the tongue. Due to the increased production of saliva during kissing, bacteria in your mouth is washed away. This includes the bacteria that causes tooth decay, cavities, and plaque build-up.

6. Kissing is a possible cure for allergies.

According to research, the act of kissing decreases the growth of IgE antibodies in your blood. These are the antibodies that release histamine, which is responsible for allergy symptoms, including watery eyes and sneezing.

7. Kissing is good for heart health.

Yes, kissing is good for the heart in a romantic sense, but it’s also good for heart health. In fact, the more you kiss, the smaller the chance you will have high blood pressure and high cholesterol. This is mostly due to the fact that kissing decreases stress and improves overall satisfaction in your relationship.

8. Kissing relieves pain.

After a long hard day at work, many people experience back pain. Surprisingly, you should opt for kissing as opposed to pain relievers for treatment. As mentioned earlier, kissing releases endorphins in your body, which have been discovered to be more powerful than narcotics, such as morphine, when it comes to relieving pain.

9. Kissing increases lifespan.

Some studies have shown that kissing your loved one each day can increase their life by up to five years. These studies have focused on married men who give their spouses a kiss every morning before leaving for work. Unfortunately, the study did not find the effect was true for women, but it still gives you that feeling of wanting more when hubby comes home, which has its own health benefits.

10. Kissing alleviates headaches and cramps.

During a woman’s menstrual cycle, she often experiences cramps and headaches. Although many women tend to want to curl up in a ball writhing in pain, there is another solution. Kissing helps to promote blood vessel dilation, which will naturally ease the pain from both cramps and headaches.

The 10 Best Things Every Mother Ever Told Her Child

The 10 Best Things Every Mother Ever Told Her Child

Communication Motivation February 27 by
Whether or not we realize it, most of us operate on default based upon the messages our parents communicated to us as children. If we were lucky enough to have folks who made it their mission to empower us, the chances are better that we take a sense of high self-esteem into the world every day. As we groom our own children to become the planet’s future leaders, remember that what we tell them will influence how they show up for life. Keeping that in mind, here are the 10 best things every mother ever told her child:

1. “I love you.”

There are people in this world who don’t ever hear their parents say, “I love you.” We all want to hear it. We all need to feel it. Not hearing the words, “I love you,” could impair a child’s future ability to express love and affection to others, causing the cycle to repeat.
What the world needs now is love, sweet love.” We each have the chance to make that happen. We can start by telling the child in our lives that we love them…every day.

2. “You can do it.”

In the eyes and heart of a child, the smallest of things can look and feel scarier than they should (Santa Claus, for example). A mother who tells her child they “can do it” is teaching that child to face life’s obstacles with courage and resolve. This child will grow into an adult who will be willing to take risks by looking fear straight in the eye and saying, “Let’s do it!”
The willingness of any individual to keep pushing the boundaries will ensure his or her personal evolution and the expansion of our species. (Think Ben Franklin and the light bulb here!)

3. “Everything is going to be OK.”

In today’s world, kids face different challenges than any of us ever could have imagined even a decade ago. Unfortunately, more kids are turning to permanent solutions (like suicide) to solve temporary problems. When your child is going through pain, make them a promise.
Promise your child that if they just hold on, the pain will pass, and everything will be OK. By helping to strengthen your child’s determination when life gets to be too much, you will be empowering them with the sliver of hope we all need to feel sometimes. Your child will also learn hard times aren’t forever, and by experiencing pain, a person can come out the other end stronger, wiser, and happier.

4. “Be kind.”

People can be mean. In fact, sometimes these mean people can be our own siblings. The best way to disarm someone else’s meanness is with kindness.
When your child is dealing with a Mean Girls situation, remind them that responding with unkindness will only breed more hostility and drama. It is important for a child to stand up for themself in a situation where they are being mistreated, but coach your child to do this with dignity and respect. If your child will be placing themself in harm’s way by responding (even with kindness), give your child permission to do what they can to remove the mean person from their life (with your support, if necessary).

5. “Be yourself.”

This is the mantra of many parents. It is, however, difficult for parents to truly allow their kids to be themselves. We sometimes treat our children as though they are here to please us. As a result, we can punish them for acting in ways we don’t approve of, but that might be authentic for them.
The fact is that each of us, including our children, are here to realize our own purpose. It’s difficult to let kids make their own ‘mistakes’ when we ‘know’ how things are going to turn out. As parents, we should understand our children’s decisions are necessary for their personal growth. The lessons they learn from acting authentically will be much stronger than any lesson they might learn from parents just telling them ‘how it is’ or how they ‘should’ be.
You can still coach, guide and reprimand your child. However, by giving your kid some freedom to grow into their fullest potential, you give the both of you a gift: the gift of letting go (for you) and the gift of expression (for them).

6. “After you eat your broccoli, it’s time for bed.”

Moms really know what they are talking about here. To keep your body and mind in optimum performance mode, you must take care of yourself by (drumroll)…eating right, getting exercise, and getting enough rest.
Lead your children by example; give yourself the gift of whole, healthy food and adequate sleep. Help your kids in removing the physical, mental and emotional issues that come with poor health and lifestyle choices. Raise your little ones to be thankful for their beautiful, perfect bodies and to treat those bodies with love.

7. “Time out.”

Life isn’t fair. We don’t always get what we want. When this happens to kids, many go into meltdown mode. Actually…this can happen with adults, too; when our plans are derailed by something or someone, it can cause an individual to react out of anger or descend into a bout of despair.
When things go sideways, cultivate in your child the value of taking a ‘time out.’ By learning to stop, step back, and breathe, your kid will learn to regroup. A time out will allow your child the chance to consider a different perspective and potentially redefine the situation in a way that works for him or her. The ability to do this as an adult enables us to create our own happiness by choosing how we will manage things that don’t go our way.

8. “Say, ‘Thank you.’”

Raise a child to say, “Thank you,” so they can learn good manners. More importantly though, teach your child to feel gratitude in their heart for every minute of every day. Regardless of what drama and pain might be happening, there is always an opportunity for something greater in that difficult experience. By raising a child to be thankful in the midst of turmoil, you will be nurturing a resilient human with the power to shift any circumstance into something amazing.

9. “Never quit.”

Life can be hard, even for a kid. School gets tough. So do relationships. As we get older, competition for jobs, money and status turns fierce.
Whatever it is your child wants to accomplish, they should remember to keep on trucking even after failure strikes once, twice, or hundreds of times. Your child should understand that just because they haven’t gotten something ‘right’ yet, things aren’t over. Tell your child that if they hold a dream, they should never quit, and should take little steps every day for as long as they have that dream in their heart.

10. “It’s OK to quit.”

Sometimes dreams change. Sometimes we realize we don’t want something we once did. However, sometimes giving up the pursuit of a dream feels like failure even if we really don’t want the dream anymore.
Give your child permission to call it quits. Remind them that if they are quitting something because that is what they truly want, there is power in quitting. This will serve your child well as they grow into an adult who wants to make a change—be that from a college major, a job, a career, or a life partner.
If you are a parent, remember the force behind these 10 best things every mother ever told her child. Choose your words wisely. Those words will be largely responsible for your child’s destiny and our collective future on this planet.
